Pitch
hull K.R
This is FOR The hull K.R. C.E.O PAUL LAKIN AND TEAM.
Introduction
This presentation outlines a structured three-part artwork collection developed to reflect Hull KR’s identity across progression, achievement, and heritage.
Each piece has been created as part of a cohesive narrative — documenting the journey of a treble-winning season, capturing the defining Grand Final moment, and honouring the historic legacy that underpins the club’s modern success.
The collection is designed not simply as creative output, but as long-term visual assets capable of supporting retail, marketing, hospitality, and heritage initiatives. The work currently remains at concept-development stage and is presented here to demonstrate direction, scope, and commercial potential prior to final production.

Artwork 1 – The Treble Journey
Concept & Composition
This piece documents Hull KR’s treble-winning season as a structured visual roadmap. The grid composition reflects progression — each panel representing stages of competition, momentum shifts, and defining performances across three tournaments.
Rather than isolating a single celebratory moment, the artwork captures accumulation — effort layered over time. The trophies positioned at the edge of the composition act as the destination point, visually reinforcing that success was earned step by step.
Visual Narrative
The repetition of player portraits, match intensity, and trophy presence builds scale and depth. The viewer’s eye moves across the panels as though retracing the season itself.

This is not a snapshot — it is a documented campaign.

Strategic Value
As a visual archive of a treble season, this piece holds long-term commemorative value. It functions as:
-
A heritage centrepiece
-
A collector’s edition print
-
A visual season record for future anniversaries
-
A commercial retail asset with ongoing relevance
This artwork strengthens memory retention of the season as a unified achievement.

Artwork 2 – Day Out (Grand Final Piece)
This one is emotionally powerful.
What’s Working Visually
-
Close-up leadership emotion (CEO/Chairman celebrations)
-
Physical embrace between leadership and player — organisational unity
-
Trophy lift moments
-
Wide “Champions” scene anchoring scale
-
Soft background rendering gives it memory-like quality
This piece feels cinematic and human — not staged.
Concept & Composition
Day Out captures the human dimension of Grand Final victory. The composition moves from intimate leadership emotion to full squad celebration, showing that success at this level is collective — from boardroom to dressing room.
The embrace between executive leadership and player creates a defining visual statement: alignment between vision and performance.
The final wide composition grounds the piece in scale — a stadium moment becoming club history.
Emotional Temperature
Unlike the structured progression of The Treble Journey, this piece feels immediate and personal. The softer rendering gives it a memory-like quality — as if capturing a moment supporters will recall for decades.

Strategic Value
This artwork is ideally positioned for:
-
Boardroom or hospitality display
-
Premium limited editions
-
Corporate partner gifting
-
Anniversary campaigns
It represents not just victory — but unity.
Artwork 3 – Yesterday’s Year
Yesterday’s Year (Clive Sullivan Heritage Piece)
This one is the most culturally significant.
What’s Working Visually
-
The vintage red tone gives it historical warmth.
-
Layered eras create time continuity.
-
Military imagery adds dimension beyond sport.
-
The ball with club crest anchors identity.
-
Multiple trophy references reinforce legitimacy.
This feels like a heritage mural. It has gravitas.
Concept & Composition
This piece honours the legacy of Clive Sullivan by merging two defining chapters — his leadership as World Cup captain in 1972 and his contribution to Hull KR success in 1980.
The layered composition connects international achievement with club heritage, creating continuity between eras. The textured red palette reinforces archival authenticity while maintaining contemporary strength.
Rather than presenting isolated historic images, the piece constructs a living legacy — positioning past leadership as foundation for present identity.
Cultural Significance
Sullivan’s captaincy was historically groundbreaking. This artwork recognises that significance while embedding it firmly within Hull KR’s narrative.
It is both tribute and education.
Strategic Value
This piece has enduring placement potential:
-
Permanent heritage installation
-
Community and education engagement asset
-
Anniversary re-release editions
-
Long-term commemorative retail
This artwork strengthens brand identity through historical depth.

Conclusion & Development Structure
The three works presented form a cohesive collection designed to document achievement, capture defining moments, and honour the legacy that underpins Hull KR’s identity.
To move from concept stage to final production standard, a structured development period is required. This ensures clarity of usage, alignment with marketing objectives, and delivery of fully production-ready artwork suitable for retail, digital, and installation purposes.
A short-term 8–12 week structured placement working alongside the marketing team would allow:
-
Finalisation of written briefs and intended usage
-
Refinement and completion of all three artworks to professional production standard
-
Preparation of print-ready and digital-ready assets
-
Alignment with campaign, retail, and heritage initiatives
This approach ensures quality, protects brand integrity, and maximises the long-term commercial value of the collection.
The intention is to create enduring visual assets that continue to generate cultural and retail value beyond the initial development period.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss next steps so that scope, timelines, and structure can be agreed.
